Dr Calorine Mekiedje is a medical doctor and public health professional based in South Africa. She serves as a strategic senior advisor for Medcins Sans Frontieres Southern Africa (MSF SnA) for HIV/TB programs in various countries of central Africa Region. she support the MSF SnA organisation in the Dismantling Structural Racism activities, and also coaches and mentor other managers and coordinators of operations in the field within the organisation of MSF Belgium and SnA.
She received her medical degree- from Antananarivo university in Madagascar and her Master of Science in public health (Health System Management) from University of Roehampton in London. She is an accredited coach and mentor since 2022 from EMCC Global. She has worked as a medical doctor in Yaounde Central hospital back in 2005 and in a Catholic health center before joining the humanitarian workforce through the Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Médecins Sans Frontières in 2007 as international mobile staff. In this organisation, she turned from project medical officer to manager and medical program director. She has experience on emergency response, strategic vision design and advocacy with strong negotiation skills.
She is passionate about leadership/followership, human nature and human well being, which drove her to the management side of her career where she could deliver her mission: revealing the great potential of individual to her fellow human being through her caring being. She is from Cameroon.
